Sometimes your chat size is more than 1GB. In that senerio taking backup to google drive can be very time consuming job. 
If you just need to shift your chats to new phone, following can be more simple.

1. Just open file explorer in older phone.
Send WhatsApp folder saved in internal storage via sharing apps like xender, SHAREit, etc to new phone.

2. Install WhatsApp from Play Store in new phone. On open WhatsApp you will be asked to provide permission for storage read, simply allow that and WhatsApp will restore all chats.
